A Family Legacy
Not sure I remember a day when my life didn’t somehow connect back to my families legacy.
My part of New Hampshire was rural (and I’m not sure that it isn’t mostly still) when I was growing up. In his early days dad was a farm boy…chickens mostly. My grandmother fed her family as much by what the farm and the land provided as she did buying stuff in town.
Dads life taught him things. He learned to be self sufficient and self reliant. And he liked the art of mechanisms. In 1962 he started his own gun store, invited his brother to join him, and they learned to work on guns…to fix them, customize them, restore them. There little store became legend.
I grew up in that world…of guns, mechanics, tinkering. Dad was a teacher…and a mentor…and I understand.
Today, through the family’s business, SixRounds does custom work, and we do restorations.
