About Us

Over 40 years an industrial woodworker, machinist, designer, craftsman....we make stuff and we restore stuff.

Trained as an engineer, industrial woodworker, and teacher, I made a career using these skills, working for a major firearms manufacture…for over 44 years.  During those same years I learned that, for me, any real work/life balance only came from exploring and pushing the limits, beyond which, a 40 hour week imposes on us, both physically and psychologically.

During those same 44 years I earned a degree in history; became a commercially licensed pilot; studied deeper the crafts of fine woodworking, writing, photograph, film making, guitar building, custom gun work, art, and the art, craft, and philosophy of restoration.  In short, my passions have fueled a lifestyle.

I have retired, and today I get to live that lifestyle.  I want this web page to be more than just a place to showcase my work…but a place where those who visit the site will want to come back as I share that lifestyle through travel, visiting other crafts or museums, my blog, and my YouTube channel.

Thanks for being here!
